While in Europe making his master in Portugal, José had some great experiences with Free Walking Tour over different european countries and noticed that there was nothing similar in his home city. The absence of the service brought an opportunity.

 

As a coastal city with many paradise beaches near, the attractions mostly indicated to visitors in Fortaleza are the beaches, in the city and nearby region. That usually puts aside the history and culture of the city center. With this idea, José, together with Larissa, started to study the neighborhood and made a pilot tour with participants of the 3rd Collaborative Urbanism Meeting on november 14, 2018. With more than 30 participants, the experience went well and was well evaluated by the present ones.

 

In the beginning of december 2018, Free Walking Tour Fortaleza started to operate as a regular service, from tuesday to saturday, 10 AM, departing from Central Market.
